"The subjects of my paintings are found on the New England shoreline, primarily the sky, water, rocks, and marshes. I grew up by the water in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, and spend as much time as I can along the shore studying the colors, light, textures, and life where water and land meet.
Light and sky reflected on the water's surface. The textures and colors of tumbled beach stones. The resilient cedar trees that thrive in this windy place.
And I've always loved fishing lures. Finding them when beach combing is like finding spectacular colorful creatures.
I’m represented at Maine Art Hill, in Kennebunk, ME, and my work is in private collections around the country and abroad. I received a BFA from UMass Amherst, and an MFA from University at Albany, SUNY. I also studied at the Academie Brugge, Belgium.
